ABRASIVES

Kyanite and mullite are used in the manufacture of abrasion products such as grinding and cutting wheels. Both kyanite and mullite are sufficiently hard to be used as a low-level abrasive, but in grinding wheels they are used as a component in the bond that holds the abrasive particles together.
