1st Shift Water Truck Operator
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a water truck to transport and distribute water at designated areas within mine sites. Ensure safe and efficient operation of the water truck while adhering to all relevant safety regulations.
Distribute water as needed to control dust, suppress fires, or perform other necessary tasks according to mine site requirements.
Perform routine maintenance checks on the water truck, including inspecting fluids, tires, brakes, and other components to ensure proper functioning. Report any mechanical issues promptly.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations established by MSHA and the mine site. Maintain a high level of awareness of potential hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
Effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and other personnel to coordinate water distribution activities and ensure smooth operations.
Operate other equipment as necessary.
Qualifications:
Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures, with the ability to identify and address potential hazards in a proactive manner.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the water truck and adherence to all relevant regulations and protocols.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with coworkers and supervisors to achieve common goals.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by operational needs.
Ability to adapt to changing work environments and requirements, including varying weather conditions and terrain
