Spring 2026 Newsletter

From the many ways kyanite supports industries around the world to updates from our team and time spent in the community, it’s been a strong start to the year.

Here’s a look at what we’ve been working on—and celebrating—along the way.

Supporting the Next Generation

Throughout the first quarter, we focused on what it means to support the next generation—within our company and across the industries we serve.

We started by sharing how we invest in our people through hands-on training, safety education, and continued learning. From there, we highlighted our role in supporting education for American industry through outreach, internships, and technical collaboration. Most recently, we explored how we stay engaged through industry organizations, committees, and global connections.

Together, these efforts reflect a long-standing commitment to building knowledge, strengthening relationships, and supporting the future of American industry.

Around KMC

Our Annual Retirement Party: Celebrating Scotty and Daniel

We recently gathered at Southern Pines at Wedgewood for our annual retirement celebration, honoring Scotty Edwards (38 years with TRC) and Daniel Copeland (37 years with TRC).

It was an evening filled with great food, shared stories, and plenty of laughter—most importantly, a chance to recognize two individuals whose dedication has made a lasting impact on our team, customers, and partners.

Scotty and Daniel, thank you for your years of commitment. We wish you all the best in this next chapter.

Trash Pick-Up Day: Supporting Our Community

Our annual trash pick-up day was another strong showing, with 333 bags of trash and 10 tires collected.

Thank you to the team members who showed up ready to make a difference. Your efforts help care for the community we’re proud to be part of—and keep this long-standing KMC tradition going strong.

Administrative Professionals Day: Recognizing Our Admin Team [Hey Steven, is there a lunch happening this year? If not, I can remove the Admin Professionals Day shout out?]

We took time to celebrate our administrative team with our annual lunch—a small way to recognize the important role they play across our operations.

Thank you for your dedication and the impact you make every day.

Kyanite in the Wild

While kyanite plays a critical role in industrial applications, it also appears in unexpected places.

At January’s inauguration of Virginia’s 75th—and first female—governor, Abigail Spanberger, kyanite-inspired jewelry was worn in recognition of Kyanite Mining Corporation and its roots in the Commonwealth.

It’s a reminder of the many ways this mineral connects industry, place, and people
